Our course work is designed to be hands-on with learning by doing under instruction and guidance from experienced trainers who bring years of expertise and the latest best-practice detailing techniques and materials.
With courses ranging from half-days to five days, MDA caters to all levels of experience.

Why choose MDA Marine Detailing Academy
We are passionate about developing a new generation wishing to enter the marine detailing industry.
There is currently no standard of instruction in the US for marine detailing. MDA is leading the drive to create and offer professionally accredited marine detailing training courses to level the playing field and better support the future pipeline of new talent.
Unlike some academies, our formal training isn't the end of engagement with students, it's just the start. After completing the five-day module, talented students will be able to further develop their skills through full-time, paid apprenticeship programs with Ten-Tex Boating, local Ft. Lauderdale-based boat detailers, and other marine detailing companies. A free recruitment service connecting graduating students with local marine detailers will also assist with future employment opportunities.

For detailers with experience in the automotive industry who want to expand their service offering, MDA courses include a boat-specific program with an emphasis on gelcoat finishes.
